Is Aquaman worth watching?

Growing up there were some superheroes in the comic pantheon that was mostly the butt of jokes. Aquaman was definitely one of those heroes. And yet, when the DCEU decided that they were going to give us the Justice League on the big screen, that meant bringing this superhero to life.

While we meet Aquaman in the team-up movie first, it was his origin story/solo movie, that really gave us a sense of who this hero is and why he is a worthy opponent when it comes to saving the world.

There is something about this particular superhero movie that is beyond reproach when it comes to not only the hero but also the visuals. If you want an epic tale with stunning graphics and sweeping scenes straight out of classic filmmaking, this is the movie for you. What they did with the worlds under the ocean is so visually moving that even if you aren’t a fan of Aquaman, you need to see this film.

And if you are a fan of DC Comics, Aquaman is definitely a movie to watch. Not only does it bring this character into a more modern setting, but it finally gives him a sense of seriousness and gravitas that has been missing in the past. Plus, thanks to Jason Momoa, we have a hero who is equal parts humorous and serious in a way that makes us believe he could be our best friend and still save the world.
