Best comic book movie moments: 70. Luck Powers

Comic book movie: Deadpool 2

When Domino survives the parachute jump, she immediately goes after the transport that’s holding Russell. Then, we see how wrong Deadpool was about her luck powers. Not only are they real, but they’re definitely cinematic. Domino made all of her actions look effortless. What’s even better is that simple things like running in one direction look exciting.

Honesty time, this writer had no idea how they’d make Domino’s luck powers look good on screen. The comic books make it look fun, but how would it transfer to a movie. Her moves looked so good that it got people who didn’t know Domino excited to see what else she could do.

Best comic book movie moments: 69. I’m Rich

Comic book movie: Justice League

Everyone loves to point out that Bruce Wayne doesn’t have any powers. It’s funny because it’s true. Batman should not be able to hang with Superman and Wonder Woman. He definitely shouldn’t be able to defeat Darkseid (which he’s done). Flash asking Batman what his powers were in Justice League was funny. Bruce responds, “I’m rich” was an even better retort.

Yes, Bruce being rich is an oversimplification. It took a lot of training, studying, and life experiences for him to do what he does. Nonetheless, his billions of dollars does help. It was good that this reality’s Bruce Wayne is self-aware.
