Best comic book movie moments: 56. Maximum Effort
Comic book movie: Deadpool
Deadpool’s most known for his jokes and his action. He doesn’t use everyday run of the mill moves. He’s creative. He does everything with flair and skill. First, Wade perfectly timed his jump from the top of a highway into the sunroof of an SUV then killed everyone in the vehicle. And did it without using his own weapons. Thankfully, with Deadpool, everything it a weapon. Including the car lighter. He moves on to slaughter everyone else who got in his way. And he did it with twelve bullets. On top of that, he still managed to be funnier than any other comic book movie character.
Best comic book movie moments: 55. Hela breaks Thor’s hammer
Comic book movie: Thor: Ragnarok
Mjolnir is one of the strongest weapons in comic books. Not only does it give the wielder the power of Thor, but it’s also virtually unbreakable. Virtually being the keyword here. Hela caught Thor’s hammer and crushed it with one hand. What made it worse was she did it while staring directly at him as if it was nothing to her.
This was a heck of a way to introduce Hela. No one has shown this kind of power until now and it shocked everyone watching. It’s doubtful that even the comic book version was this powerful. Considering the MCU’s Hela’s connection to Asgard, it makes sense. Even still, this was a shocking moment that no one will forget.
