Best comic book movie moments: 52. Magneto drops a Bridge

Comic book movie: X-Men: The Last Stand

Another bad movie with an incredibly good scene. Sir Ian McKellen constantly saved this series and this project in particular. He just had a way of speaking and mimicking what Magneto would look like. This particular scene epitomized this.

Magneto says, “Charles always wanted to build bridges” and literally takes a bridge and moves it. Ian McKellen’s hand movements made this scene. It was like he was the maestro controlling an orchestra and metal were musical notes. Then, when he dropped the Golden Gate Bridge, the woman locking her door made this even better. All Magneto could do was smile and keep walking.

Best comic book movie moments: 51. Puny god

Comic book movie: The Avengers

Loki’s plan was falling apart. However, he could have escaped. That was until the Hulk showed up and tackled him into Stark Tower. Loki got up and yelled at the Hulk. He’s a god, after all. Who was this giant troll to even touch him? Well, Loki, the Hulk is no troll. This is the strongest there is. He learned that lesson quickly. Hulk proceeded to beat like a rag doll.

This was one of those moments where everyone in the theater belly laughed. Hulk grabbing Loki like he was nothing was one thing. Then, Hulk walks away leaving Loki’s body and ego ruined, and calls him a puny god.
