Best comic book movie moments: 50. Father and daughter team-up

Comic book movie: Logan

Logan had two options. He could leave and live the last days of his life or he could fight. We know what he chose. Logan took the last shot and went old-school Wolverine on everyone. Cutting, screaming and killing everyone in his path. That wasn’t the best part of it. He teamed up with Laura to do it.

The two of them made a formidable team. They knew each other’s moves before the other could make it. The villains didn’t stand a chance. As brutal as that scene was, it was kind of beautiful. It’s the closest thing Logan would have to a father/daughter moment.

Best comic book movie moments: 49. The times are changin’

Comic book movie: Watchmen

There was a lot of ground to cover with Watchmen. Since there’s a finite amount of time to use, the creators had to find a way to tell the history of superheroes and their place in the world. The opening credits were used and it worked impeccably.

It was a very Zach Snyder scene the way the slow-motion movements told the story. We saw the beginning of heroes and some of their downfalls. The Comedian was the one who assassinated JFK. Another massacred in their bed for being gay. There was also someone being dragged to a mental facility kicking and screaming. As sad as it was, cinematically, it was beautiful.
