Best comic book movie moments: 96. Negasonic and Colossus
Comic book movie: Deadpool
After Deadpool finished wiping the floor with a bunch of nameless goons, it was off to torture Francis to get what he needed from him. That was interrupted by Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus. A scene that showed how ridiculously stubborn Deadpool is. It was also the beginning of a love/hate relationship.
After the first punch, you’d assume he knew better than to keep attacking Colossus. Yet, there he was. Punching, kicking and antagonizing a superhumanly strong mutant in his steel form. As if that wasn’t entertaining enough, we have his interaction with Negasonic Teenage Warhead. The two of them alone have been worth the ticket prices.
Best comic book movie moments: 95. Hannibal King insults everyone
Comic book movie: Blade Trinity
Blade Trinity is the one black mark in the Blade Trilogy. There have been stories about Wesley Snipes not caring about the project and being difficult to work with. Regardless of whether it’s true or not doesn’t take away from the other awful parts of this movie. One scene that helped keep this movie entertaining was Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds) berating his captors.
Hannibal was chained and at the mercy of Danica and Jarko. Instead of making things easy, he decided to antagonize everyone within the sound of his voice. The insults aren’t something this writer can say here. That said, it was among the most creative insults in any comic book movie. It’s worth looking up.
