Best comic book movie moments: 20. Nurse Joker

Comic book movie: Dark Knight

After putting Havey Dent in the hospital after killing his girlfriend Rachel Dawes, Joker took the opportunity to send Dent over the deep end. He shows up at the hospital where Dent is and tells him who he should be blaming. Joker says the fault isn’t on him. It’s on the Gotham Police Department and Batman. At first, Dent doesn’t go for it. After some coercion (and putting a gun to Joker’s head) Dent agrees and becomes Two/Face.

Joker did a number on Dent. He set him up to become a villain. It didn’t happen this way in the comics. However, this version worked better for this movie. It gave him connections to the villains and added some justification to his vendetta with James Gordon.

Best comic book movie moments: 19. Quicksilver

Comic book movie: X-Men: Days of Future Past and X-Men: Apocalypse

Quicksilver is a character that the novice comic book fan may not know about. Despite being an Avenger, X-Man, and was once thought to be the son of Magneto (that changed during Axis). Thankfully, he made a huge impact in his first two movie outings. To some, it’s one of the best-looking action scenes in comic book movie history. It’s definitely the most innovative.

When speed powers are used, there’s always an opportunity available. The creators have a chance to make their opponents look foolish and get creative with the speedster. Quicksilver did exactly that. The way he moved objects around and let the events happen was brilliant. It was both funny and creative.
