The God of Mischief found himself facing off against more than just one of his Variants in Episode 4’s post-credits scene, but just who is Boastful Loki?

Loki delivered what was, quite frankly, the show’s most jaw-dropping episode yet. The fourth installment arrived on Disney Plus this week and saw the two Gods of Mischief questioned by the Time Variance Authority over the Nexus Event that they very nearly created.

In the end, however, the pair wrestled their way to an audience with the Time Keepers only to discover that the ancient beings are merely a front for something far more sinister (and that they are nothing more than androids).

Tom Hiddleston’s trickster seemingly met his end when Ravonna Renslayer took it upon herself to “prune” him, but the episode’s post-credits scene revealed that Loki wasn’t actually dead at all. No, he now found himself in some kind of alternate dimension, looking up at four different Variants.

Among those Variants is Classic Loki (portrayed by Richard E. Grant), Kid Loki (portrayed by Jack Veal) and, uh, Alligator/Lizard Loki (portrayed by an alligator/lizard). The other one, however, is perhaps the most intriguing.

Who is Boastful Loki?

The fourth Variant is billed on the end credits as “Boastful Loki”. Portrayed by DeObia Oparei, this Variant looks like a decorated warrior as he sports rich battle armor. What was also striking about him is the fact that he was holding a hammer that may or may not be Mjolnir.

Of course, Marvel and MCU fans will know that Loki’s brother Thor is the warrior in the family and that he is considered “worthy” to wield powerful weapons like Mjolnir and Stormbreaker.

While we don’t have much to go on with this new variation of the character just yet (other than his name), it’s possible that this Variant ended up living a life similar to the one that Thor did in the MCU, making him a, well, “Thor Loki”. After all, the God of Thunder knew a thing or two about being boastful.

Loki adds a new episode on Disney+ every Wednesday from 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET.
