5. Olympus destroyed

Comic book: Wonder Woman No. 773 and No. 774

Wonder Woman has defeated Dr. Psycho – or, as he calls himself now, Cizko. Cizko used his powers to create cursed and false Asgardian weapons. Once Diana defeated him, everything went back to normal. Her next mission was to go to Olympus but when she returned, Olympus was in shambles and the gods were dead.

The only being that remained was Janus. He was once part of two beings in one. He looked to the past while his other half looked to the future. The problem was that they had split and his other half killed the gods. In order to get them back, Wonder Woman, Deadman, and Diana’s new companion Ratatosk have to go to the Graveyard of the Gods – a place where no one returns from.

Why is this important?

Wonder Woman says she’s been to the Graveyard of the Gods before and managed to return. This time will be no different. However, how will she return and what happens after that? Diana has seen things that can’t be unseen. Witnessing the result of death may change the way she goes after villains. She’s never hesitated to kill; maybe this will change.

Also, Ratatosk thinks something funny is going on with Janus. This writer agrees. Janus is more than likely going to find a way to protect his other half. It will likely lead to Wonder Woman fighting someone that can see the past and the future – the complete Janus.
