2. What’s really going on with the TVA?

We’ve been building towards this question from the very first episode – even if we didn’t know it at first. With Ravonna having no choice but to explain to Sylvie what’s really going on, it looks like episode 5 will inform us all.

The Time-Keepers are robots it seems. Not the biggest of reveals, but a revelation nonetheless – one that confirms somebody was controlling them. So who was the person (or people) that decided the timeline needs to be run a certain way? What is their motive and how did they become so powerful? This isn’t a move that can’t be accomplished by just anyone. It takes a specific power set to make this happen.

1. Where is Loki?

In the beginning of the episode, Loki mentioned that Lokis don’t really die. This was mentioned for a reason and, as we’ve seen, Loki never stays dead. It’s part of his charm. That, and he’s really lucky. It doesn’t matter if it’s in the comic books or one of his faked-out deaths throughout the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The mid-credit scene really highlighted this as it showed the God of Mischief waking up from his apparent demise only to be greeted by more Lokis. A child, an elder in Loki’s comic book garb, a Black Loki with a hammer, and – this is a new one – an alligator Loki.

We don’t know where our God of Mischief is. What we can assume is that there’s been a conspiracy against Lokis throughout time.

Loki adds a new episode on Disney+ every Wednesday from 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET.
