2. Steve Rogers

You’d figure that, with the way Natasha is, she and Steve Rogers wouldn’t get along. But that’s far from the truth. They’re both soldiers who understand that sometimes you have to do bad things in war. Moreover, Natasha also knows that killing isn’t always the right thing and follows Rogers’ orders in the field.

The two of them have been Avengers and S.H.I.E.L.D. agents together over the years and have a strictly platonic relationship – something that was depicted perfectly in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In fact, it would have been nice to see the Meat Night scene play out in the MCU (check out Original Sin No. 1 for more on that).

1. Bucky Barnes

Bucky Barnes and Natasha Romanoff’s relationship isn’t complicated. They’ve always been upfront with each other. That honesty has kept their bond strong and it’s why Bucky trusted her to by his side when he became Captain America. That trust and friendship eventually turned into love – a relationship that should have happened in the MCU instead of her and the Hulk.

It was sad when Natasha asked Bucky to hide her husband and wife (as seen in Kelly Thompson’s Black Widow No. 5). Both of them thought they would be together again one day but after what happened to her and her fake memories, they both knew it may never happen. Hopefully, Natasha and Bucky can find a way to make it work in the future.
