Loki’s penultimate episode is almost upon us but just how long does the fifth installment run for?
There aren’t many episodes of Loki‘s first season left. The newest venture into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Disney Plus series has quickly found itself among the fans’ most-approved MCU offerings. And it has indeed held all of our interest over the past four weeks, setting up an interesting final two episodes.
The most recent episode of the series was easily its most shocking yet. With Loki and Sylvie back in the TVA’s headquarters, tensions rose quickly and huge revelations were made. And Mobius was finally willing to listen to Loki as the pair took their love/hate relationship to the next level by trusting each other as if they were actually friends.
That bravery on both of their parts resulted in a standoff with the TVA as Loki reunited with Sylvie and the two variants duked it out with the seemingly corrupt organization. But the closing moments of that episode set the stage for an even more intriguing fifth installment. But before we delve into that fifth installment, let’s find out how long it is.
How long is Loki season 1, episode 5?
Loki‘s fifth episode, “Journey Into Mystery”, runs for 49 minutes, making it the third-longest episode. Previous installments runtimes have varied, with some running for 43 – 48 minutes, making them a similar length to that of the typical network American TV series, while others ran for the longer 51 – 54 minute runtime more in-line with cable and streaming dramas.
Marvel Studios’ own president Kevin Feige previously revealed that each of the MCU Disney+ shows would have a collective runtime of about six hours and Loki definitely looks to be following in the footsteps of WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier by doing just that.
Loki‘s season finale debuts on Disney+ next Wednesday, July 14, at 12:01 a.m. PST and 03:01 a.m. EST.
