Even though we have to wait until December 2021 to finally see the third Marvel Cinematic Universe Spider-Man film, it doesn’t mean we can’t get a little be excited for its release in the meantime. Funko has released a new set of Pops now available for pre-order based on Spider-Man: No Way Home.
This new Funko Pop! release features Peter Parker and his buddies as they face whatever threat comes their way in the new movie. There are three different Spider-Man figurines showcasing different suits fans will be excited to discover.
First, there is the Tony Stark-gifted suit, complete with upgraded web-like wings that help Tom Holland’s character float in the air. Of course, we’ve already seen this suit featured in Spider-Man: Homecoming, but it’s great to know that it will make a comeback in the third installment.
Fans will remember in Spider-Man 3 when Tobey Maguire turned all moody and got his symbiote suit. Well, it looks like this, or something similar, might be coming back, based on the new Funko Pop! figurine wearing a black and gold suit.
The third figurine features a new integrated suit that brings back the classic red color but mixes in gold. However, eagle-eyed fans will notice the symbol on the chest and on top of Spider-Man’s hand to be that of Doctor Strange. Well, as it turns out, the fellow New Yorker is appearing in this new movie and gets the Funko treatment as well. As a Pop!, Doctor Strange is wearing a puffier jacket under his cloak, some winter hiking boots, and holding a shovel while casting a spell.
It wouldn’t be a Spider-Man movie without Peter’s trusty friends Ned and MJ, so Funko turned them into Pop! figurines, as well. MJ is wearing classic black combat boots, grey jeans that match her blazer, and a purple sweater. (Maybe she is trying to look more academic.) Ned looks like he is going back to the 1990s with his middle part, slicked-down hair, and a Midtown School of Science and Technology letterman jacket.
These new Funko Pop! figurines are available for pre-order now at Entertainment Earth for $11 each.
