Tony Stark

It may shock you to see Tony Stark on this list. Sure, he does some selfish things. But he’s the most egotistical charitable person in Marvel Comics. He will tell you how great he is but he will also sacrifice himself for the universe.

The moments that put him on this list came in Invincible Iron Man No. 4 by Brian Michael Bendis. During this issue, Tony made time to go to a hospital with sick children and brought multiple Iron Man armors with him. He let one of the unwell kids wear one of those armors.

At this time, Tony was trying to figure out what the villainous Victor Von Doom was up to, but he still made time for children in need. That’s what being a true hero is all about.

Atom Eve

The life of a superhero can be glamorous. You spend a lot of time saving people, being on TV, and becoming a role model to people around the world. However, as we’ve seen in various superhero comic books and TV shows, it can also be a launching pad to becoming a celebrity and making millions of dollars.

Atom Eve knew she could do and be more than someone who just beats up villains. She has the power to rearrange atoms after all. But instead of doing what her peers in the superhero community are doing, she decided to use her powers to help people in a different way, going to other countries to help make their quality of life better. It wasn’t nearly as fancy as the glamorous life of her peers, but it was every bit as heroic – if not more.
