Lucifer fans are very eager to know more about the show’s final season. Here is everything you need to know about Lucifer season 6 and its release on Netflix.

Lucifer has been a regular presence on our TV screens for half a decade now. During that time, the show has grown into one of the most popular shows on television, with the “Save Lucifer” campaign after its initial cancellation by Fox going down in history as one of the most successful fan campaigns for a TV show of all time.

Netflix‘s choice to save the day has brought it back for a fourth season and a two-part fifth season. With season 5, part 2 recently releasing, Lucifans set their sights on the sixth and final season.

Below, you’ll find all the up-to-date information you need about Lucifer season 6, its premiere on Netflix, its cast, any trailers and more.

Lucifer season 6 release date

Lucifer season 6 will arrive on Netflix on September 10, 2021, with all 10 episodes arriving on the streaming service at once.

The announcement was made during Comic-Con@Home, catching fans off-guard because the extensive gap between parts 1 and 2 of season 5 understandably had many thinking that it would be some time before the final season premiered on Netflix.

Lucifer season 6 cast

Lucifer season 6 will once again feature Tom Ellis reprising his role as Lucifer Morningstar. He won’t be the only one to return, of course, as Lauren German will return as Chloe Decker, Kevin Alejandro as Daniel Espinoza, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez.

It’s currently unknown if there will be any other additions to the cast but be sure to check back for any announcements.

Lucifer season 6 trailer

As Netflix has only just confirmed the release date of the final season, there isn’t a full trailer available for season 6 yet. However, they did release a teaser trailer that confirmed the final season’s premiere date, teasing fans with the show’s conclusion.

In terms of when fans can expect the full season 6 trailer, Netflix tends to release promos and previews for their upcoming shows quite close to the actual release of the season/movie itself, so don’t expect any Lucifer season 6 trailers right away. That said, the trailer will almost definitely arrive before the end of August.

What is Lucifer season 6 about?

The plot of Lucifer season 6 remains a mystery but it goes without saying that it could be the biggest story that the long-running TV series has ever tackled. After all, it will be tasked with wrapping up the show’s run.

With that in mind, fans will undoubtedly be curious to see if Lucifer returns to Hell for good, if he decides that running Lux really is what we wants to do for the rest of his immortal life and, perhaps most importantly, if he and Chloe Decker will end up living happily ever after.
