We’ll have to wait just a little bit longer for Lucifer season 6.

Lucifer is a TV series that just keeps the fans coming back for more. The long-running former network TV series is now at home at Netflix and it has gained an even larger following ever since.

The show once aired on Fox, with three seasons being produced by the broadcast network between 2016 and 2018. Its cancellation sparked outrage among the “Lucifans”, with a campaign resulting in Netflix swooping in to save it.

The streaming service has since produced fourth and fifth seasons of the show – both of which have been well-received by fans. The second half of the fifth season was only recently released but the show will return for a sixth and final season very soon.

We’ll have to wait a little longer for the show’s return, however, as Netflix has unveiled their August 2021 film and TV line-up and Lucifer is not on it. Fear not, though, because Tom Ellis’ sarcastic devil is set to return sooner than expected.

Lucifer season 6 release date

Lucifer season 6 will premiere on Netflix on Friday, September 10. All 10 episodes will arrive at once, meaning that you can binge the show’s last season immediately.

While fans have their theories as to what will go down in the final season, there is also a lot of secrecy in terms of what will actually happen and how the show will come to an end after nearly six years.

Ellis will, of course, reprise his role as Lucifer Morningstar but he will also joined by Lauren German who will return as Chloe Decker, Kevin Alejandro as Daniel Espinoza, D.B. Woodside as Amenadiel, Lesley-Ann Brandt as Maze, Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin and Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez.
