These are 10 Marvel Comics prequels that would make terrific movies or shows in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Black Widow attacked more than just her enemies at the box office. The Avenger’s first solo project earned $70 million at the box office and $60 million on Disney Plus in its opening weekend, putting the opening total at $130 million. Those numbers are phenomenal considering we’re in a pandemic. The $60 million made from the Disney Plus Premier Access also shows that a lot of fans are happy to watch big budget new releases from the comfort of their own home.

The numbers don’t tell the entire tale though because Black Widow‘s early success is also down to the fact that it’s a good movie; a film about moving past your past and looking towards the future. Natasha, Yelena, Alexei, Melina Vostokoff and more were all given redemption arcs to showcase that. Furthermore, it was also nice to see what happened to Natasha between Captain American: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War.

Will we see more MCU prequels?

During the Black Widow press run, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige suggested that more Marvel prequels could be in the works. The successes of both Captain America: The First Avenger and Captain Marvel have already proven that there’s a market for them, so why not? There are tons of characters that fans would love to learn more about. Heck, there could be another Black Widow story as well. She’s been on dozens of missions.

Here are ten other Marvel Cinematic Universe characters that deserve their own prequel feature.
