What If…? episode 2 spoilers: What is the second episode about?

Marvel’s What If…? has arrived on screens with Captain Carter’s debut. However, what can we expect from Episode 2?

Marvel Studios has spent most of the last decade and a half dominating the box office through its various silver screen ventures. But this year, its Marvel Cinematic Universe has found its way to the small one, achieving equally monumental success on Disney Plus through the likes of WandaVision, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki.

Now Marvel is taking that journey a little further, venturing into the world of animation in the first ever Marvel Studios animated series What If…?. Showing audiences what the multiverse is really capable of before it arrives in the mainstream MCU, the series explores what could happen if the events in the movies transpired a little bit differently.

The first of those adventures came in the series premiere that reimagined Peggy Carter as Captain America, with the canon-Founder of SHIELD taking the super soldier serum instead of Steve Rogers, becoming Captain Carter in the process. But what awaits viewers in the second episode?

What If…? episode 2 plot synopsis

While an official episode synopsis for episode 2 of Marvel’s What If…? has not yet been released, we do know that the second episode will be centred on T’Challa as Star-Lord.

The episode will undoubtedly take the canon Black Panther on a journey unlike anything we have seen from the King of Wakanda in the MCU. This is also the final performance from the legendary Chadwick Boseman as he will voice T’Challa in four of the nine episodes.

Marvel’s What If…? premieres on Disney+ next Wednesday, August 18, at 12:01 a.m. PT and 3:01 a.m. ET.
