Marvel Studios What if…? began with Captain Carter. After seeing this episode, here are five burning questions we need answers to.
Marvel’s What If…? is going to give fans the opportunity to see things that could have happened in the Marvel Cinematic Universe if they panned out a little differently.
In episode one of the Disney Plus series, we get “What If… Captain Carter was the First Avenger”. Steve Rogers didn’t take the Super Soldier Serum and never became Captain America and Peggy Carter became the first Avenger – something a lot of Marvel Cinematic Universe fans have wondered about. Now, we get to see exactly what it would look like. And, not only did she do a great job, but we see that Steve Rogers was going to do his best to be a hero anyway.
Like most Marvel Studios shows and projects, we were left with more queries. Here are five burning questions that we need to know after watching What if…? episode 1
5. What if…? Peggy Carter danced?
While Peggy is justifiably upset about not being able to use her abilities to be a soldier, Steve says something funny. He says at least she wasn’t sent to be a walking commercial for war bonds. Considering Steve did it in Captain America: The First Avenger, makes you wonder if Peggy would have. This writer says probably not. Peggy knows her worth while Steve didn’t.
