Titans season 3 premiered with a shocking triple premiere and it has left us all in need of some answers.

DC’s Titans is back and better than ever. The DCTV series made an unforgettable debut on streaming service HBO Max (following its move from DC Universe) with a three-part premiere that unveiled the first three episodes of its third season all at once.

Set some time after the second season, Titans season 3 picks up in San Francisco as the titular team of heroes are finally living up to their name as the heroes that the city needs. However, a death in the Bat-Family brings the crew back to Gotham and from there, things begin to unravel for the Titans once more.

It’s safe to say that fans were a little perplexed by the jaw-dropping conclusion to the third episode (though let’s be honest, all three episodes featured major cliffhangers).

On that note, let’s discuss some of those questions that “Barbara Gordon”, “Red Hood” and “Hank and Dove” left us with and see if we can figure out what it all means for the third season of the former DC Universe show.

5. How did Jason survive his death in the Titans season 3 premiere?

It has been clear for some time now that Titans season 3 would draw inspiration from Batman: A Death in the Family and that inspiration is much clearer now. Jason Todd’s violent death at the hands of The Joker in the opening minutes of the finale undoubtedly left viewers cowering behind their cushions but it set up the second Robin’s return as Red Hood in the second episode.

Speaking of Red Hood, he quickly swooped into action with his vicious brand of apparent justice and laid claim to the underworld of Gotham – “quickly” being the keyword because Jason’s resurrection was pretty quick, even for a comic book series.

With that in mind, just how did Jason survive The Joker’s attack? He was confirmed dead almost instantly, with Bruce even confirming that he had been buried in the family plot next to Alfred. But as Dick’s search later proved, there was no body there.

Nobody is masquerading as Jason under that Red Hood mask, that’s for sure, but just how did the former Robin defy death?
