4. What is Red Hood’s goal?

If you’ve read any of Red Hood’s comics, you’ll know that he thrives on chaos. An antihero and a villain, he’s known for his vengeful ways and doesn’t particularly stop to think about the damage he causes on his way to achieving what he believes is his own violent brand of justice. Even when he takes part in heroics, he’s not a hero.

The Jason Todd we see in Titans, however, got to that stage very quickly. Though he always had some issues (which more people really should have paid attention to during the second season), he still seemed very much like himself when asking Bruce to let him apprehend The Joker in the premiere’s opening moments.

So what happened to Jason in between episodes 1 and 2 to make him want to toy with and ultimately kill the Titans? Of course his bad experience in San Francisco undoubtedly plays into his motivation but where did the Red Hood transformation come from (and how did it happen so quickly?)? It likely has something to do with what brought him back to life but how did Robin become Red Hood overnight?

We’ll have to wait and see what’s next for the murderous vigilante but it’s hard to believe there is a way back for Jason after his recent actions.
