Superman and Lois season 2 is coming to our screens, so here’s everything you need to know about it, including release date, cast, trailers, news and more.

Superman and Lois has been a revelation. The Arrowverse‘s newest adventure series, it brought two already-established versions of the title characters to the forefront in a story unlike anything they had faced on-screen before.

Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth “Bitsie” Tulloch reprised their roles from Supergirl in a post-Crisis On Infinite Earths world as the Man of Steel and the World’s Most Famous Reporter moved to Smallville with their twin sons, Jonathan and Jordan, in the hopes of starting a new life away from the crime and stress of Metropolis. However, things got complicated when Morgan Edge showed up and attempted to convince the Smallville townspeople to believe in him, when in reality he was trying to transfer the consciousness of evil Kryptonians into their bodies.

It all made for a compelling season of TV as Superman and Lois made a mark on both the Arrowverse and TV viewers in general, making us all excited for their season 2 return.

Superman and Lois season 2 premiere date

While no official premiere date has been given for Superman and Lois, it is expected to premiere on The CW in the first quarter of 2022.

Many fans initially hoped that it would return in the fall, but The CW recently unveiled its fall schedule and it, along with shows such as Kung Fu and Stargirl season 3 have been held back until next year (likely because their current seasons ran deep into the summer).

Superman and Lois will be returning for a new adventure but there isn’t much reason to expect the cast to change up that much. That said, we will have at least one new full-time addition as Sofia Hasmik has been promoted to series regular for season 2.

Moreover, don’t be surprised if Adam Rayner does not return as Morgan Edge/Tal-Rho/The Eradicator as the villain will likely be defeated at the conclusion of the first season.

Superman and Lois season 2 trailer

As Superman and Lois‘ second season has not yet commenced filming, it will be some time before we can expect any kind of trailer that features new footage.

However, DC FanDome takes place on October 16 this year, so don’t be surprised if that’s when we get our first look at season 2.

What is Superman and Lois season 2 about?

Very little is known about the plot of Superman and Lois season 2 at this point in time. We can guarantee, though, that whatever storyline the writers choose to tackle, it will remain focused on family as the Kent clan is undoubtedly the heart and soul of the series.

We’ll likely get a hint of the story for season 2 after the season 1 finale airs on screens.
