27 best Marvel characters that have never appeared in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
By Mark Lynch
Have the Thunderbolts been in a Marvel Cinematic Universe movie?
This writer has been telling anyone who’s listening that the Thunderbolts are coming. This writer believes that Valentina Allegra de Fontaine is building a different roster of Thunderbolts. The first two people she recruited were John Walker and Yelena, two people who are opposites of members of the Avengers.
In the comics, Yelena was sort of a member of the Thunderbolts under Norman Osborn’s reign. She was really Natasha Romanoff in disguise. John Walker was never a member. Just because it didn’t happen in the comics doesn’t mean it won’t occur in the movies.
With the Thunderbolts should also come a couple of other MCU characters. First, there’s Clint Barton. He was their leader for a little while. Hawkeye could show Valentina approach him to lead her field team. Second, there’s Baron Zemo. Someone the fans loved in both of his appearances and is a staple on the Thunderbolts team who’s also been their leader.
Lastly, the Thunderbolts shouldn’t be looked at as Avengers. They’re supposed to be former criminals who are trying to make up for their past sins. Well, some of them are. Moonstone (another reason we should see the Thunderbolts) is a terrible person and should remain so in the MCU. Having them as Avengers doesn’t serve a purpose. They can’t be looked at as heroes since everyone knows who they are. Now, the Thunderbolts? They can do whatever they want.
