X-Corp is getting ruthless

Comic book: X-Corp No. 4

After some issues with a rival company (Noblesse), Monet St. Croix and Selene propose using their powers to get ahead. Warren Worthington doesn’t like it, but is outvoted by the board members. This is something to watch out for. Is it wrong that they’re using their powers or is it all fair game? And what happens if and when the world finds out?

After Warren is outvoted, he calls Monet to the boardroom for a private meeting. Warren was tired of the way Monet was treating him. Instead of talking, Warren said they needed to solve things like mutants. They fought in the danger room.

Why is this important?

It’s not certain which one of these is more important. Monet and Angel fighting each other is something to be expected. The problem is Angel switched to Archangel during the fight. He says he has it under control, but he’s said this before and been wrong. What would have happened if Monet let out Penance? This could have gotten bloody and possibly deadly.

When it comes to Monet and Selene using their powers to influence a corporate takeover, this isn’t shocking. Neither of them have ever been shy about their abilities and being proud of them. However, this is a new time for mutants. If the world finds out what they did, it could ruin what little trust the world has in mutants and the nation of Krakoa.
