DC’s Legends of Tomorrow is one of The CW’s longest-running shows. Debuting back in 2016, the Arrowverse spin-off has offered up unique adventures for six seasons and those adventures are set to continue for another year.

About to enter its seventh season, Legends is now the third-longest-running series set within the continuity that Arrow spawned, outlasting other beloved entries Supergirl and Black Lightning (which decided to conclude in their respective sixth and fourth seasons). It is now just one more renewal away from tying Arrow and The Flash as the longest-running (though that could change if The Flash gets renewed for a ninth season).

With season 6 offering up one of the show’s most bizarre offerings yet, all hopes are high for season 7. But when can we expect it? And what can we expect from it?

Legends of Tomorrow season 7 premiere date

Legends of Tomorrow season 7 premieres on The CW on Wednesday, October 13, at 8:00 p.m. ET. That’s right, it’s moving to a new night but it will be joined by its old Sunday night companion, airing alongside new episodes of Batwoman season 3.

Legends of Tomorrow‘s seventh season will retain almost all of its main cast but there is one major change and that is the fact that original cast member Dominic Purcell will be shifting to recurring/guest status instead, marking the first time that Mick Rory won’t be a regular on the show.

Meanwhile, Matt Ryan will return but he will no longer be playing John Constantine. Instead, he’ll be playing a new eccentric character named Gwyn Davies. And another change will be that longtime series regular Amy Louise Pemberton, who voices Gideon, will now appear in person as the personification of the AI system that guides the Waverider.

As Legends of Tomorrow‘s sixth season has concluded, The CW has not yet released a trailer for the seventh. That being said, with filming well underway (and with the premiere only a month away), expect a season 7 trailer imminently.

What is Legends of Tomorrow season 7 about?

While the official plot synopsis for Legends of Tomorrow has yet to be revealed, there were some interesting tidbits confirmed about the new season’s story during Comic-Con@Home, including the fact that the team will be stranded in one place and one time for most – if not all – of the season.
