Emmys 2021: How many awards did WandaVision win?
WandaVision received a slew of nominations at the Emmy Awards 2021, but how many did it actually pick up?
WandaVision became one of this year’s biggest TV talking-points. An anomaly in every major way, fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe knew to expect big things from any production that Marvel Studios produced, but the Disney Plus show that they got ended up shocking even them.
The nine-part series is the 24th offering in the MCU and it kicked off the shared universe’s fourth phase by being absolutely nothing like its predecessors. A tribute to sitcoms of days gone by and a thought-provoking, nuanced tale about the effect of grief, it became an unexpected critical darling, with the world raving about the writing, the performances, the production values and the commitment it approached every single aspect of its story with.
That positive reception earned Marvel Studios its first Emmy nominations in major categories, with the show earning a nomination for Outstanding Limited Series or Anthology Series, stars Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff) and Paul Bettany (Vision) landing nominations for Best Leading Actress and Actor in a Limited Or Anthology Series Or Movie and Kathryn Hahn (Agnes/Agatha Harkness) scoring a nomination for Outstanding Supporting Actress. Director Matt Shakman scored a nomination for directing while the show also has three nominations for writing. Has WandaVision scored any huge wins yet?
