Marvel’s What If…? has been thrilling fans since its arrival. When will Episode 8 be able to do the same?
The Marvel Cinematic Universe has certainly been given quite the shaking up since the arrival of the Disney Plus line-up of shows earlier this year, but none of them have shaken things up quite like What If…?.
The series is inspired by a legendary comic run of the same name and it gives audiences a chance to see how different the MCU could have looked had one or two (or many) of the events that took place in the movies panned out differently.
The series’ first installment gave us a look at a very different beginning as Captain Carter took the place of Captain America, defeating Hydra and vanishing into a portal that resulted in her return 70 years in the future. The second episode gave us a glimpse into a different life for Black Panther as T’Challa instead found himself in space as a Ravager (with the team turning over a new leaf because of his positive influence) that was adored across the galaxy because of his good work. The third installment envisioned a very different outcome for the Avengers’ debut. The fourth shone the spotlight on a very different Doctor Strange while the fifth reimagined the events of Avengers: Infinity War but with zombies. The sixth episode saw Killmonger rescue Iron Man before he became the hero, also changing the timeline, while the seventh saw Thor throw a memorable party.
Yes, What If…? remains one of the most enticing shows on TV today but when can viewers expect to dive into another adventure?
When does What If…? season 1, episode 8 come out?
What If…? episode 8 is released on Disney+ on Wednesday, September 29 at 12:01 a.m. PT. and 3:01 a.m. ET. It will join the first seven episodes on the streaming service before another new episode is added every Wednesday for the next two weeks.
This upcoming episode is rumored to feature Iron Man once again, as the character could find himself on Sakaar with Gamora. No official confirmation yet, but that is expected to play into one of the remaining two episodes and it isn’t the finale. Make of that what you will.
