Marvel’s What If…? season 1, episode 8 live stream: Watch online

Episode 7 of Marvel’s What If…? was easily the most fun episode of the Disney Plus series so far. It was a literal worldwide party initiated by the God of Thunder. After Odin entered the Odin-Sleep, Frigga went to see her sister’s for some well deserved relaxation. Instead of studying to one day become king, however, Thor went to Midgard to party.
While there, he almost forced S.H.I.E.L.D. to nuke him and Captain Marvel. In the end, though, Earth was cleaned up, everything went back to normal, and Thor asked Jane Foster on a date. Uatu even thought they’d live happily ever after. But, as the episode’s conclusion indicated, even The Watcher can be wrong at times. Right after all the happiness, Ultron with Vision’s face appears with all of the Infinity Stones.
A new preview for the upcoming eighth episode (see below) gives fans an idea of what to expect. Now we know exactly what we’re getting in this episode. It’s going to be one where we find out what if Ultron defeated Earth’s Mightiest Heroes in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Not only is he victorious, though, he has all of the Infinity Stone and Vision’s face under the Ultron mask.
As the trailer continues, we see a world map that shows nuclear missiles being launched all over the planet, thus starting the apocalypse of this world. Black Widow and Hawkeye seem to be the only Avengers left alive and the latter has lost hope. Considering that the world is overrun by Ultron robots, it’s easy to see why even he would lose faith.
It’ll be interesting to see the events that lead up to Utron’s victory. Did he gain consciousness, get his body, and then go after the remaining Infinity Stones? Is this really Vision and we’re just assuming that it’s Ultron? Did he defeat Thanos? How do the Infinity Stones work in the other realities? This could be one of the longer episodes of the season. There’s a lot of questions that need answers.
