What If…? will bow out with a major season finale, but when can fans expect the ninth episode to make its presence felt?
Marvel’s What If…? has been one of the many highlights on the Disney Plus calendar in 2021. The streaming service has kept Marvel fans entertained throughout the whole year, not only making up for the understandable drought of Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in 2020, but opening the MCU up to a whole new chapter in streaming shows.
The first ever Marvel Studios-produced animated series, it reimagines the MCU as fans knew it, giving us all a look at how differently things could have worked out if a variable or two were different and the impact those differences could have on not just one universe by the multiverse itself.
Over the weeks, we have seen Peggy Carter transform into Captain Carter, T’Challa become Star-Lord, Hank Pym turn on Nick Fury and the Avengers, Thor show up to Earth as the Party King, zombies outnumber The Avengers, Doctor Strange lose everything, Killmonger “rescue” Tony Stark and Ultron fuse with Vision. With the eighth episode just making its presence felt, What If…? is building towards its first season’s conclusion.
Viewers are eagerly anticipating the season finale to see how the epic Disney Plus show comes to an end. That said, when can they expect the ninth episode to arrive?
When does What If…? episode 9 come out?
What If…? episode 9 is released on Disney+ on Wednesday, October 6 at 12:01 a.m. PT. and 3:01 a.m. ET. It will join the first eight episodes on the streaming service and will serve as the last one of the first season. The show will return at some point as a second season has been confirmed.
As for episode 9, however, it is expected to feature a multiversal event that will unite certain heroes of the multiverse that we have already met, with the likes of Captain Carter, Star-Lord (T’Challa), Thor and Doctor Strange Supreme all set to return.
