Lil Nas X is officially a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Yes, you have read right. Montero Lamar Hill, better known to the world by his stage name Lil Nas X, is a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – and guess what… he loves every minute of it!
As reported by PinkNews, a theory that came from Reddit suggests that Lil Nas X exists in the MCU. While he is not in actual fact playing any sort of fictional character within the world of the Marvel heroes, he does appear to exist.
Is Lil Nas X in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
The Reddit theory is based around a reference to him in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings as one user pointed out that Lil Nas X must have survived the Snap.
In the MCU, the infamous snap is the event in which Thanos wiped out half of all life in the universe. The theory that Lil Nas X survived it is based around his single “Old Town Road” – a song that featured in Shang-Chi – being released in 2019.
The snap took place during the spring of 2018 in the MCU timeline, suggesting that he was around to release it and had not, in fact, been snapped out of existence by Thanos.

The artist was seemingly excited by the fan theory and took to social media to share it to his 7.2 million followers.
It seems that, powerful as Thanos was, he could not defeat Lil Nas X, who was seemingly part of the population half that didn’t get snapped by the Mad Titan of the MCU.
