This Wednesday night, Riverdale season 5 returns to The CW with another new episode. The long-running mystery series recently made a comeback to TV screens, returning in August with new episodes. Now its back with its much anticipated season finale.
Riverdale returned to screens for its fifth season earlier this year, launching a brand new era for itself in the process. However, it took an extended midseason hiatus at the halfway point of its run so that new series Kung Fu could air its debut season, before its returning episodes were subsequently delayed. Now, Riverdale is back to allow its fifth season to bow out.

The fifth season has essentially relaunched the show, with a seven year time-jump resetting the status quo, as Archie Andrews returned to his hometown after seven years in the army to find Riverdale in a completely different state to how he left it. Of course, Hiram Lodge had a lot to do with that.
Now, however, things will come to a head as Hiram Lodge takes drastic action to take control of Riverdale and all the stories that have been building up over the past season will undoubtedly come to the forefront in the finale.
