Riverdale season 6: Is Casey Cott leaving the show?

Riverdale season 6 premieres on screens soon but will Casey Cott be returning as Kevin Keller?

It’s just weeks until Riverdale season 6 premieres on The CW. That feels like something of a strange statement to make given that season 5 just ended, but that’s how the network rolls as it attempts to return to a somewhat normal fall schedule.

The season 5 finale was a shocking affair that featured a number of surprising twists, including a genuinely unexpected cliffhanger ending. It also saw a number of Riverdale – or, Rivervale, as it’s called now – residents preparing to sort out the next chapter of their lives now that the town is back up and running. And that threw the future of some of those residents into question.

Is Kevin Keller leaving Riverdale?

With Veronica deciding against going back to New York and Archie, Betty and Jughead obtaining new roles and responsibilities that would allow them to remain on in the town too, Kevin decided to look into making some plans for his own future.

What that meant for him was giving Broadway and New York one last shot. Those who watched spin-off Katy Keene will remember that he appeared on the show during its run, so he knows a thing or two about the Big Apple. But will he return to it throughout Riverdale season 6?

Is Casey Cott leaving before Riverdale season 6?

Thankfully, it appears that Casey Cott is not leaving Riverdale. The star remains a series regular for the show’s upcoming sixth season, meaning that Kevin is going to be finding himself stuck in the middle of more unbelievable adventures going forward.

Furthermore, it does seem like he and ex-boyfriend Fangs Fogarty are destined to be together and given how poorly things ended for them, fans are hoping that they will eventually find their way back to each other.

With that in mind, let’s hope we see plenty of Kevin in season 6 (and that he gets some actual decent storylines)!
