Marvel’s Hawkeye is one of the year’s most anticipated shows, but fans will have to wait a little longer for it to premiere.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s expansion into television was one of the biggest talking points of the TV year. The Marvel Studios franchise evolved its on-screen domination through the use of its Disney Plus platform and, quite frankly, it hasn’t looked back.

The MCU has grown with the likes of WandaVisionThe Falcon and the Winter SoldierLoki and, most recently, What If…? adding to the saga’s overarching story via a more direct focus on the respective characters of each show. All were based on already established characters who just didn’t get the focus they needed in the movies. And the next installment plans on doing the same.

Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) is one of the MCU’s longest-standing heroes. One of the original six Avengers, he has appeared in a number of films throughout the franchise. However, he never really got the same kind of exploration that the other five did. Hawkeye plans on changing that, introducing us to a new hero along the way in Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld).

The show is on the horizon, but we won’t be getting it just yet. It isn’t too far off, though, so that’s definitely a good thing.

Hawkeye season 1 release date on Disney Plus

Hawkeye season 1 premieres on Disney Plus on Wednesday, November 24, at 12:00 a.m. PT and 3:00 a.m. ET. The season is then expected to run for six episodes, airing its final one on Christmas week.

It was initially expected that Ms. Marvel would be the last MCU show on Disney Plus this year as it was supposed to premiere in fall 2021. However, Marvel Studios switched the order and it will now premiere in early 2022.
