Superman and Lois season 2 is not coming to The CW in November 2021

Superman and Lois season 2 will not be making its presence felt on The CW for some time.

Superman and Lois reinvigorated the Arrowverse with its debut season. Bringing back Tyler Hoechlin’s Man of Steel and Elizabeth Tulloch’s intrepid reporter (both of whom we previously met on Supergirl), the series explored a very different chapter in the life of Clark Kent and Lois Lane than the one we’re used to.

Happily married and working together as they raised their two teenage sons, the show quickly showed us that even superheroes can struggle in their day-to-day lives. The Kent family endured tragedy, redundancy and a tyrannical editor that tried to fool people into thinking he had their best interests at heart, but ultimately Superman and Lois stood tall.

Balancing superheroism with a healthy dose of authentic family drama, Superman & Lois was an unexpected gem of not just the genre but television itself. And it’s safe to say that fans are excited for the show to return for its second season.

Unfortunately, it’s going to be some time before Superman and Lois season 2 hits the screens. The CW revealed its fall line-up back in May and the newest Arrowverse series was not on it, meaning that it won’t be joining shows like The Flash and Riverdale that return for new seasons next month.

Superman and Lois season 2 release date

Superman and Lois season 2 will premiere on The CW in early 2022. While no official premiere date has been given, the most likely release window will be somewhere between February and March.

That not only mirrors when the first season arrived in 2021, it will then allow the second season to have a mostly uninterrupted run as it aims for a May/June finale.

The CW is attempting to restore its typical TV schedule and, with an abundance of programming leftover from the delayed times, it has to balance that schedule out by holding some of its biggest hits for midseason.
