Riverdale season 6 is back on screens very soon. When can UK viewers expect new episodes of the show?

Riverdale is one of The CW’s longest-running programs. It has been airing on its home network in the US since its debut in 2017. However, it has reached a much wider audience through its international release on Netflix.

Since its series premiere, new episodes of Riverdale have streamed internationally on Netflix just hours after its domestic broadcast on The CW. One such place that benefits from these almost-immediate releases is the UK, where Riverdale fans get their fix of the Archie Comics series via Netflix.

Regardless of where you live, the show has been off screens for a few weeks now that its fifth season has concluded. And it concluded in explosive fashion as the always-villainous Hiram Lodge left town for good, but not without exacting revenge on Archie Andrews.

The good news is that Riverdale‘s sixth season is just weeks away – and that means it’s just weeks away for UK audiences too!

When is Riverdale season 6 released on Netflix?

Riverdale season 6 is expected to premiere on Netflix globally on Wednesday, November 17 at 8:00 a.m. BST.

While the show usually premieres new episodes in the UK on Thursdays, its night of broadcast on The CW has now changed to Tuesday nights, meaning that its international release on Netflix is also one day earlier than previous seasons.

As for when US fans can expect Riverdale season 6 to be released on Netflix? Well, that’s a little trickier. The streaming service’s domestic deal with The CW means that it won’t be made available to US audiences until the whole sixth season’s TV run is finished, so it likely won’t arrive until summer 2022 at the earliest.
