Ms. Marvel release date updates: When is it coming out?

Ms. Marvel isn’t that far away and fans are curious to know more about its upcoming release.

Ms. Marvel was supposed to make its presence felt on Disney Plus viewers this year, but a recent change from Marvel Studios has resulted in it being pushed back a little bit longer.

Marvel is no stranger to moving things around and its newfound success on Disney Plus can vouch for that, as it initially had to move WandaVision and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier from their planned 2020 releases following the delays after the production shutdown of last year.

With Hawkeye taking its planned release date, Ms. Marvel now moves to a 2022 release date and we can provide you with as many updates as we know about the show’s upcoming arrival.

How many seasons of Ms. Marvel are there?

As of writing, there is one season of Ms. Marvel thus far. It has yet to air on screens and will introduce the titular character before she then co-stars in the upcoming Captain Marvel sequel The Marvels.

If it’s successful (which it definitely will be), Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) could return for a second season – much like fellow Marvel Cinematic Universe series Loki already is.

How many episodes of Ms. Marvel are there?

There will be six episodes in the show’s debut season. This is in line with two of the three previous live-action Marvel shows on Disney Plus, as The Falcon and the Winter Soldier and Loki both ran for six episodes.

Again, if the debut season is successful, it could very well return for a second season of six more episodes (provided Marvel Studios plans on turning it into an ongoing series, that is).

Ms. Marvel release date

While Marvel has yet to officially confirm the release date for Ms. Marvel season 1, we do know that the show will arrive in early 2022.

WandaVision was initially planned for a December 2020 release before it was moved to January 15, 2021 instead. Taking that into account, there is a good chance that Marvel and Disney Plus could recreate that this year by releasing the first episode of its upcoming series as early as January 2022.

A full-length trailer for Ms. Marvel season 1 has not yet been released. However, the studio did unveil a sneak peek of what fans can expect from it at Disney Investor Day 2020, featuring some footage from the show.
