Marvel’s Eternals is not coming to Disney Plus in November 2021
By Cody Schultz
Marvel’s Eternals might be hitting theaters this November, but Disney Plus subscribers will have to wait a tad longer for the movie to arrive on the service.
On Nov. 5, Marvel’s latest cinematic offering finally arrives in theaters and, unlike other recent Disney brand blockbusters, the film will be releasing exclusively in theaters and will not be coming to Disney Plus.
While disappointing for Marvel fans hoping to be able to enjoy the latest Marvel Cinematic Universe film from the comfort of their home via the Disney Plus Premier Access, it’s not exactly too surprising.
Although Black Widow debuted both in theaters and on Disney Plus via Premier Access, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings opened exclusively in theaters and that’s the same plan in place for Eternals as well. While the new MCU film will not be arriving in November 2021, that doesn’t mean the film won’t arrive on Disney Plus this year.
Eternals Disney Plus release date: When will Eternals be free on Disney Plus?
Currently, the plan is for Disney to release Eternals exclusively in theaters with a 45-day exclusive theatrical window planned for the film. This means the film will only be available in theaters during this stretch, so fans hoping to avoid spoilers will need to get their tickets and head to their local movie theaters to watch the film.
With a 45-day exclusive theatrical window planned, the earliest Marvel’s Eternals could release on Disney Plus would be Dec. 20, 2021. This would allow fans the chance to relive the action just in time for the holidays and even to have a complete Marvel movie marathon over the holidays!
While you wait for Eternals to arrive in December, you can always enjoy some of the studio’s other movies or series which are streaming now on Disney Plus.
