Why the New Bane was created

Comic book: Joker No. 8

Joker has taken Jim Gordon to South America and now Europe. Along the way he came across some very different characters. There was a rich family from the south that eats people, the Joker (who needs no explanation), and the new Bane – who’s been a force to be reckoned with. We had no idea who she was except she was Bane’s replacement. We first saw her in a tube banging on the wall and later leading her team.

In Joker No. 8, she captures Jim Gordon. What seemed like a moment where Gordon would have to cleverly escape to survive turned into something else. She doesn’t want to kill him. She was looking for a reason to hate The Joker. Not just because she was born and created to kill him.

Why is this important?

The new Bane has no reason to truly hate Joker. It was built into he, along with a brutal way for her to kill him. Unfortunately, this won’t end the way she wants it to. She’s almost certainly being built up to eventually be killed by Joker. If not by Joker, then by the original Bane (there’s no way he’s dead) perhaps.
