How will Nina handle her memories of magic?

One of the earliest ground rules Locke and Key established early on is adults can’t remember magic. This rule was made more clear when we saw that Jackie was losing her memories of magic as she approached her 18th birthday.

During the first season of Locke and Key, Nina almost died when she was lost in the mirror after Bode used the mirror key. At the end of Locke and Key Season 2, Bode uses the head key to let Nina relive some of her memories of Rendell. Bode explains she will soon forget this because she is an adult.

Nina says she doesn’t want to forget and Bode pulls out the Memory Key, and we can safely assume Nina will now have her memories of magic replaced.

While this sounds like no big deal, Nina has some harrowing experiences with the magical keys of Key House. It might be a serious shock to her system to have those memories put back in her head. On the other hand, she might be able to be the person who replaces Tyler in the fight against the demons since it appears his time remembering magic and the keys will soon come to an end.

Needles to say there’s a lot we have yet to learn about the wonders of Key House. It will be fun to explore all of these topics and more when season 3 makes its debut.
