What trailers did Marvel Studios unveil on Disney Plus Day 2021?
Disney Plus Day 2021 is upon us, but how did Marvel Studios celebrate?
That was the question on the minds of fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as the streaming service which houses most of those movies (and has started producing their TV entries) honored its two-year anniversary today. Naturally, when it comes to Disney, Marvel and Lucasfilm, there were announcements along the way.
The studios had an extravagant day of celebration planned for fans and it kicked off early with some new titles making their presence felt on the streaming service, including Jungle Cruise and Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.
The event itself kicked off later in the day, but what kind of announcements came from Disney Plus?
Did Marvel drop any MCU trailers at Disney Plus Day 2021?
Marvel did indeed have some kind of presence on Disney+ Day 2021 as fans expected some exciting reveals in regards to the next slate of MCU installments.
The biggest talking point from the event is the Marvel Studios Disney Plus special, which featured new teasers for She-Hulk, Moon Knight, Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye. It is available exclusively on Disney Plus.
Major Marvel announcements at Disney Plus Day
Perhaps the biggest announcement to come out of Disney Plus Day is the confirmation that X-Men: The Animated Series is receiving a long-awaited revival, titled X-Men ’97.
Moreover, the service confirmed that the previously announced Agatha: House of Harkness and Echo shows are indeed in the works.
Furthermore, a new Spider-Man animated series, titled Spider-Man: Freshman Year, and an animated Marvel Zombies series were both announced at the event. It was also confirmed that we’re getting an animated I Am Groot animated series,
It was confirmed that Ms. Marvel will debut in Summer 2022.
We also received new title cards for all of those shows, as well as She-Hulk, Secret Invasion, Moon Knight, and Ironheart.
