The Flash season 8 premieres on The CW with its exciting five-episode event. Here’s how you can watch the first episode of the eighth season, “Armageddon, Part 1”, online.

This Tuesday, The Flash returns to The CW. The longest-running superhero series on TV is back with the premiere of its eighth season.

While fans are undoubtedly excited to see Barry Allen return for another speedy adventure, this episode won’t be just any season premiere. It will kick off what The CW is calling a five-episode-event that will give fans the closest thing to a large-scale Arrowverse crossover since Crisis On Infinite Earths (which concluded two years ago).

Titled “Armageddon”, it will see the arrival of a powerful alien known as Despero (Tony Curran) arrive on Earth and attempt to claim it as his own. However, he will meet resistance from the Scarlet Speedster, who assembles a team of heroes to stop him.

Throughout the five-part event, Barry, Iris and Team Flash will be joined by Batwoman (Javicia Leslie), Black Lightning (Cress Williams), Ryan Choi (Osric Chau), Supergirl‘s Alex Danvers (Chyler Leigh) and Arrow‘s Mia Queen (Katherine McNamara). This premiere episode, however, will bring back Arrow and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow star Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The ATOM steps in to help Barry.
