Electro

It has been public knowledge for a while that Jamie Foxx is set to return as Electro in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The actor was last seen in the Marvel multiverse as the character in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as the main villain in the film. However, while it has been speculated that the character is the same as the one in the film, he is allegedly going to look different as Foxx himself has stated that he will “not be blue” in the upcoming movie.

This opens up some different avenues that the MCU could take, with the chance that this version of Electro could either be from the main MCU universe or from a different universe in the multiverse that is not from The Amazing Spider-Man franchise.

Judging by the trailer and the new poster, it seems that Electro will be after Holland’s Spider-Man alongside Ock and the other villains, meaning that it is extremely likely that he is a part of the super villain team.

Green Goblin

While it had long been speculated that Willem Dafoe was a part of the upcoming film, the recent trailer featuring his iconic cackle and bomb gave the rumours some credibility. Now, with the recent reveal of the movie’s poster it has now essentially been confirmed that Dafoe will return to the role of Norman Osborn/Green Goblin after almost 20 years.

Dafoe has been the only actor to portray Norman Osborn’s version of the Green Goblin, with The Amazing Spider-Man franchise choosing to bypass Norman and make Harry the Green Goblin of their universe.

It will be interesting to see the character return, as he perished at the conclusion of the original Spider-Man film.

This addition has most fans excited and, judging by the poster and the iconic goblin bomb appearing on the bridge where Doc Ock battles Spider-Man, it seems that the two villains will be in the same location at the same time, hinting at a team up. Goblin loves chaos and hates Spider-Man, so it is likely that he would relish joining a team that is set on taking down any version of Peter Parker.
