Misty Knight and Colleen Wing (a.k.a. The Daughters of the Dragon) are currently employed by the Beyond Corporation. Their primary duties are to train Ben Reilly to be a better Spider-Man. Apparently, they’ll be sent on missions as well.
Maxine of Beyond Corp sent the Daughters of the Dragon to take down a robot monster called Obsidian Star. After defeating it, they found a power source inside it. Instead of handing it to Beyond Corp, they gave it to Monica Rambeau. When Maxine confronted them, they asked if this was all about getting Beyond Corp an exotic power source. Maxine looked at them shocked and said nothing.
Why is this important?
Maxine didn’t understand who she was hiring. Misty Knight and Colleen Wing have morals. When they think someone is trying to trick them, they’ll adapt. This is exactly what happened. They knew that something weird was going on. Instead of blindly giving Beyond Corp power, they gave it to someone who can handle it.
The Beyond Corporation is up to something. Bringing in Ben Reilly, the Spider-Man trademark, and the request for the power source is all looking like very suspicious behavior and it’s likely leading to something. Plus, you can’t trust billion dollar companies in comic books. They’re always up to shenanigans.
