With all of the rumors and hype surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home, is it going to be possible for the film to live up to all of it?

Spider-Man: No Way Home has the potential to be one of the best films in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is bringing the Homecoming Trilogy to an end, and it is introducing a multiversal story with the addition of Doctor Strange to the cast.

The cast of villains for Spider-Man: No Way Home is star studded. Alfred Molina and Wilem Dafoe from the original Spider-Man films have been confirmed and seen in the trailers for the film. There’s also plenty of evidence to suggest Rhys Ifans, Thomas Haden Church, and Jamie Foxx will reprise roles from previous Spider-Man films as well.

Then there’s the big rumor that everyone has been talking about since Spider-Man: No Way Home was announced. Are Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire being brought into the film?

The internet is all abuzz about the possibility of all three actors who have portrayed Spider-Man on the big screen coming together in the latest installment. If it does happen, it’ll make for one of most iconic moments in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

While all of this is a lot of fun to think about, what happens if none of it is actually in the film?

Spider-Man: No Way Home might become victim to fan speculation in the same way WandaVision did

The rumors and speculation surrounding Spider-Man: No Way Home have been rampant from the beginning. There was another Marvel Cinematic Universe property that had fans speculating like wildfire earlier this year as well.

WandaVision was one of the most unique concepts to ever exist in the MCU. Because the television series told a Marvel story in such a unique fashion, fans quickly began to come up with their own theories about what was going to happen before the series wrapped up.

With each passing week, as the show began to twist and turn more and more, the speculation of fans grew just as wild. And while the speculation was fun, it was giving the show an almost impossible task to live up to.

When the WandaVision finale came around, many fans were disappointed because so many of the theories people had about the show didn’t come to fruition. If you go back and watch the show without the speculation, the show was very well done, and it told a compelling story. The show simply could not live up to everything the fans had built up in their minds about what was going to happen.

Spider-Man: No Way Home can be a great film with or without the rumors being true

When we all go see Spider-Man: No Way Home, we need to remember this film can be great with or without all of the rumors surrounding it being true. Tom Holland has established himself as an icon wearing the Spider-Man suit, and this film will wrap up his first arc as part of the MCU. This is the standard on which the film will need to be judged.

It does not need to be judged on how many of the actors who have played Spider-Man in the past show up. If all three actors are in the film, it will be a lot of fun to see unfold, but we have to keep our hopes about this possibly happening from detracting from how much we enjoy the film.
