These five WandaVision moments show why it has one of the best Fandoms in the world.

FanSided has released the Fandoms of the Year 2021 list. It wasn’t shocking to see WandaVision and its fans make the list. It was the perfect show to kick off the Disney Plus’ Marvel Studios shows and the Marvel Cinematic Universe hasn’t looked back since.

Before the show began, people didn’t know what to expect. It seemed like it was going to be a goofy, light-hearted 1960s sitcom. Towards the end of episode 1, we saw how wrong we were. WandaVision became a trippy and complex show about dealing with trauma, all while making its viewers (and its protagonist) solve a head-scratching mystery. Among all the magic and emotional scenes came a lot of memorable moments. These are the top five.

Honorable mention: Each episode’s innovative opening sequences.

5. Quicksilver appears in WandaVision

There aren’t many times where the audience is genuinely surprised in a Marvel Studios project. Normally, we can see who characters are with a quick google search and with plenty of rumors around each and every project, genuinely jaw-dropping moments are hard to come by.

While we knew Evan Peters was set to appear in WandaVision, we didn’t think he’d actually be bringing back Quicksilver from the Fox X-Men franchise. When he popped up at Wanda’s door, everyone was shocked that he was standing there. Unfortunately, we were both right and wrong.

Peters was really playing an actor named Ralph Bohner. Finding out that he wasn’t the real deal didn’t make fans happy. Peters’ version of Quicksilver was one of the few shining moments during the 20th Century Fox X-Men film series. Bringing him in as the new Pietro Maximoff would have been perfect. As divisive as the reveal was, his initial appearance made for a memorable moment.
