Michael Keaton portrayed Vulture in the MCU’s Spider-Man: Homecoming but will he return in Spider-Man: No Way Home?

Spider-Man: No Way Home is almost upon us. The long-awaited Marvel Cinematic Universe offering is set to become the biggest movie of the year (in a way it already is) when the multiverse cracks open and unleashes a ton of non-MCU threats on the MCU.

Peter Parker’s desperation to return his life to what it once was (i.e. make everyone forget that he is really Spider-Man) will see him reach out to Doctor Strange for help. But a costly mistake in the spell-casting department results in the arrival of villains such as Doctor Octopus, the Lizard, the Green Goblin, Sandman and Electro.

One villain that fans are intrigued to know if we’ll see in the movie or not is Adrian Toomes a.k.a. the Vulture. Portrayed by Michael Keaton, Toomes was the antagonist of 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming and has since gone down in MCU history as one of the finest to appear in the shared universe.

But will he be back in Spider-Man: No Way Home?

Is Vulture in Spider-Man: No Way Home?

It has yet to be officially confirmed if Michael Keaton will be reprising his role as Adrian Toomes, a.k.a. Vulture in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The legendary Batman actor is set to make something of a multiverse-shattering cameo in Morbius but Marvel Studios and Sony have not yet confirmed his involvement in the Spidey sequel.

That being said, official merchandise for Spider-Man: No Way Home may have spoiled his return as there is an official action figure set for the movie featuring Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange and Michael Keaton’s Vulture.

Moreover, the star revealed on an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live that he was “shooting some Vulture stuff”, but did not disclose which movie it was for. Fans thought that it might have something to do with No Way Home, but given the timing of that interview, the film may have already been completed at that point.

Nonetheless, the Sinister Six’s arrival in Spider-Man: No Way Home does leave a number of questions revolving Keaton’s return, especially when we only have five confirmed members. Is Vulture the illusive sixth?
