What happens now that Batman: Fear State is over? The Dark Knight and Scarecrow have a talk.

Batman: Fear State is over. The Scarecrow took his biggest swing ever and failed. Like most villains, however, Jonathan Crane had a backup plan and he tested the effects of the Fear State on the handlers Simon Saint gave him.

Unfortunately for Crane, Batman knew about them and the others. His escape was prevented and now, it was off to a psychiatric prison. But not before Crane and Batman could have a talk.

During that talk, Batman told him:

"“You were so afraid of change that you tried to take control of everyone’s future. I’ve been shaped by fear and trauma and it has changed me many times. You have pushed yourself to the limit of fear, and you have never changed, never evolved.”"

Scarecrow and Batman have a talk

Before the Dark Knight puts Crane in the Batmobile, Crane says he feels “naked.” Bruce gives Crane his Scarecrow mask so they could talk honestly.

The first thing they discuss are the charges on Simon Saint. Thanks to Miracle Molly, Saint will be punished for his crimes. The charges were dropped on the other leaders of the Unsanity Collective, but Molly will go to prison. That’s not all bad for her. Batman points out that she’ll take this time to recruit the next generation of the Collective.

DC Comics needs more Miracle Molly. She’s shown bright spots since she debuted. When she escapes from jail, no one should be shocked. What Molly does next will be the interesting part. Hopefully she’ll straddle the line of hero and not in the same way that Poison Ivy does.
