Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness brings back the Sorcerer Supreme for a long-awaited sequel and here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming MCU movie.

Doctor Strange is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe‘s most premiere superheroes. The sorcerer made his debut in 2016’s Doctor Strange, with Benedict Cumberbatch’s Stephen Strange finding himself in a whole new world full of possibilities. And with that, the Sorcerer Supreme was born.

Cumberbatch would reprise the role in both Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame before he would turn up in the much-anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home. Serving as a mentor figure to Peter Parker, Strange is quite the figure in the film and it goes without saying that he fitted into the Spidey flick incredibly well.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness trailer

The first trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness was unveiled in theaters as the second post-credits scene from Spider-Man: No Way Home. It was subsequently released online and showcases Strange reaching out to Wanda Maximoff for help and coming across what appears to be a darker version of himself – one that looks like the Doctor Strange Supreme we met in Marvel’s What If…?.

What is Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness about?

While the official synopsis for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is a little vague, as we know a friend-turned-enemy will show up and force him to unleash an unspeakable evil, we also know that it will take place after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home as the title is an obvious nod to the events of the Spidey film.

We’re not quite sure how Wanda gets involved, but you can rest assured that any screen with her and Strange on it, is one worth tuning into.
