Is Spider-Man 4 starring Tom Holland happening?

Tom Holland brought Peter Parker back in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but will he back for a fourth adventure? Is Spider-Man 4 happening in the MCU?

The world has been talking about Spider-Man: No Way Home for many reasons over the past year and a half. One thing all of those reasons had in common, though, was the fact that it was all taking place before the movie was even released. Now, however, everyone is talking about Spider-Man: No Way Home because it’s here.

The most anticipated movie in the world is officially the biggest movie in the world, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe flick set to dominate the box office for the remainder of 2021 and well into 2022. And for good reason, as the movie is undoubtedly Spidey’s biggest adventure ever.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is the third installment in the MCU’s Spider-Man: Homecoming trilogy, which has turned out to be an incredibly lucrative partnership for Marvel Studios and Sony.

But will we see a fourth installment for the webslinger in the MCU?

Is Spider-Man 4 happening?

While nothing has been officially confirmed, it’s looking likely that there will be a fourth Spider-Man installment starring Tom Holland.

While Holland confirmed that No Way Home would be the final installment in the aforementioned “Homecoming trilogy”, Sony Pictures producer Amy Pascal suggested at the No Way Home premiere that there could be plans in place for a new trilogy sometime in the future.

Will Spider-Man 4 be a part of the MCU?

Another question that fans are wondering is if the new Spider-Man trilogy will be exclusive to Sony’s Spider-Verse or if it will continue to take place in the MCU. Given the success of the franchise, the latter is the more likely option. Moreover, Pascal’s comments during the premiere indicated that she would like the partnership to continue, so there’s a strong possibility of that happening.
