Hawkeye: 5 burning questions fans need answered after the season finale
By Mark Lynch
2. Is Wilson Fisk dead?
Maya Lopez’ revenge on Wilson Fisk came sooner than we expected. She caught up to Wilson and pointed a gun at him. As you’d expect, Fisk tried to play on their relationship to avoid being killed, but Maya wasn’t buying his fake emotions. The camera then panned away from Fisk and Maya and we heard a gunshot.
It wouldn’t be unlike Marvel to kill a villain that people enjoyed. In this case, however, it would be a mistake. People loved his battles with Charlie Cox’s Daredevil in the Netflix series. They were classic and the thought of seeing them face off again, or Fisk interact with Spider-Man is just too good to overlook. Nevertheless, it’s possible Maya killed him.
1. What’s next for Hawkeye (Kate Bishop)?
What’s next for Kate Bishop? Her mother is in jail, their fortune will be unavailable to her, and she can’t go back to the penthouse. The Bartons will love having her around. However, Kate may eventually feel like a burden. Even if she doesn’t, she’ll have to move on at some point. Thankfully, Kate has multiple options
The obvious choice is the Young Avengers. Marvel Studios has been hinting towards this for years. Especially with characters like Eli Bradley (who appeared in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier), young Loki, and Wanda Maximoff’s twins Tommy and Billy making appearances throughout the MCU. She’s also been a leader of the West Coast Avengers and a private investigator. This writer hopes to see the latter. It’s an interesting concept and perhaps even a way to bring in Jessica Jones or Jessica Drew.
All six episodes of Hawkeye season 1 are now available on Disney Plus.
